DAYTON — A man without legs threatened another man, telling him he would “throw a bomb through your window” on Monday, Dec. 28, according to Dayton Police.
The 46-year-old man told police that the legless man drove into his yard in a Jeep Grand Cherokee at about 1 p.m. and said, “Where is my money? If you don’t have my money, I will throw a bomb through your window.”
The man making the threat operated the vehicle’s foot pedals with sticks or some other apparatus, according to a Dayton police report.
The complainant said he has had previous problems with the man, but did not know where he lived or how to find him.
The complainant said his estranged wife used to provide in-home nursing care for the man. At some point during that time, the man said she stole $470 from him by using his bank card. Records indicated he filed a theft report on Dec. 21.
Police attempted to locate the man at his home by using the license plate information provided by the complainant, but did not find him at home. He could face a misdemeanor menacing charge.
