UPDATE 2
Just talked to Mark. He is doing much better and should be coming home tomorrow. The problem turned out to be a problem with one of his blood pressure meds and they feel they have corrected it.
Mark says he is feeling good and hopefully, once he gets home again, he will take care of himself and be on the road to recovery.

UPDATE 1
Jackie just called. Mark is in ICU at Intermountain in room S204. I called the nurses station. His heart is beating okay right now and looks to be fine. His blood pressure drops when he stands up. They are doing chest xrays, blood and other tests to find out what's going on. His sugar is 95, which is good. No doctor has been in to see him yet.
I did give the nurse an earful about why he needs rehab or at least home care from the start when he is released again. She seemed to understand this but we'll see. I will be talking to Mark and others later today about this.
Luckily, I'm off today to make all these calls. The phone number for ICU is 801-507-4200. He is in room S204. The code is 9316 to have them release information on him.
He keeps this up and I'll be the next one in the hospital.

MARK
Mark was admitted back into the hospital tonight. I do not know much at this time, just what Jackie has told me so far.
Apparently on Sunday, Mark had fainted, thrown up, blacked out, gotten dizzy, had his blood pressure drop, had 911 called, paramedics come and advise him to go to the hospital because his vital signs were bad and Mark refused to go.
Today, Monday, his blood pressure was still low, he felt "anxious" and so he had his friend Claudia take him to the nearest hospital. This hospital then sent him back to Intermountain, where he was being admitted tonight.
I don't know anything else and I wouldn't have known this if I hadn't called to check on him tonight right after he left to go to the hospital.
I will be calling the hospital in the morning to see if I can find out more information and to just reiterate to his doctors and others that THIS is why I asked them to send him to a rehab or have daily homecare when he went home. I am NOT happy.
I'm hoping it's just a case of Mark trying to do too much along with not following the pretty simple rules I'm sure he was given and not anything more serious.
I will post more when I know more.
