What's that you say? It's almost Thanksgiving so why I am posting Halloween pictures, you say?
It's just the way I roll these days. Things get done when they get done. So.
Ray and I went to visit Rick on Halloween to check out the annual display they put on in their garage. This year was a kind of corpse bride theme....pretty cool.
The groom and the...ummm...UN-preacher thingy waiting on the bride to walk down the aisle (check out the guests)
The lovely (?) bride. She was radiant!
The goody table at the "reception"
Check out the wedding cake............clever!
And, at the back of the garage there was a haunted pirate bar......it was actually really cool and kinda spooky. However, I DID NOT see that damn Chuckie doll until just now.......probably a good thing!
It was all really cool and they got lots of compliments from trick or treaters. They really put a lot of effort into this every year and Kathy does a great job in the creativity department! Rick does a great job in the actually making it work department!

TYLER
FYI
Tyler is being deployed tonight (8:30 p.m. CST), heading for Iraq. I talked to him on the phone Sunday night at Pete's.
Tyler said his job will be Recovery and he will be going out to get troops who have broken down or left stuff behind.
He is nervous about going to Iraq but hopes it will be safer than Afghanistan.
He thinks he should have his email set up by Christmas but doesn't know. He does have the email addresses for Pete, Me, Peg and Lola so he can email us as soon as it's available. I will email him the blog address then so he can stay in touch with all of us. He will use calling cards to talk with his parents and Pete until then.
I told him we love him and we'll all be thinking about him and I know it'll be fine and he'll come home safe.
I remember when I was a kid and I would hear the song, Billy Don't Be A Hero, playing on the school bus radio. I woke up thinking about that song this morning.
Please God, let him come home safe.

WINNER! WE HAVE A WINNER!!
Congratulations to John, Doug and Chance for the getting all the answers correct in our first Trivia Challenge and becoming the final (and only) three contestants.
I was a little disappointed in the turnout and had hoped for more people to participate (where is mark, for instance?). Hopefully, the next one will get more interest (i mean, you get a prize! free!).
Remember, it's not who answers first, it's who answers the most correctly and then you still have a one in five chance of winning!!
So, the three semi-finalist's names were put into the magic cup and the winning name (drawn by Pete) was........
Drumroll..............................................................
DOUG!!
Doug will receive his prize in the next week (or so) and I will post a picture of the prize on the blog.
Thanks for playing and watch for the next round!
