Rest of the pictures

Safe and Sound

Hey! We made it home safe and sound. Got in late last night. Here are just a few pictures. I think the highlight of the entire trip was Stonehenge! We were able to actually walk around within the circle of stones and take all kinds of pictures! It was very cool to think of how old that structure is and all the mystery behind it! The Eiffel Tower was very pretty at night and during the day we went all the way to the very top! I even used the "toilette" as the French would say...they had bonafide restrooms at the very top of the Eiffel Tower!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

THURSDAY, JULY 31...........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATHY!!!

WEEKEND HAPPENINGS...

So we had a very quick visit from John and his fiancee (proper pronunciation fayANNsee) Candi, a visit from Johnny, Jordyn has a new best friend, Candi (they exchanged phone numbers!), Doug attempted to show our hilljack side by igniting a fire with that old stand by - gasoline - and Pete gave a demonstration on fly fishing, W.C. style. Here are a few pics to enjoy:

John and Candi (i can't remember her last name but i believe it was Stohr, Cain or Barr). Candi was very nice, personable and friendly and seemed to find us amusing and Ohio a nice place to be. Sigh. Poor thing. Oh yeah and she WANTS to marry John, he's not forcing her or blackmailing her into it as we had all originally thought. Sigh. Poor thing.*

Pete. Fly Fishing on her back patio.

*Just kidding - it was nice to meet you, Candi! Any friend of Princess Jordyn's is a friend of ours.

LEST WE FORGET...

Today is a special day, one we don't want to forget!

One that should be filled with special fun!

Why?

Because today..............

DOUG TURNED FIFTY ONE!!

Happy Birthday!!

Cheerio from London, Mates!

It's bloody hectic here is in London, but we're having a lovely time!!! We have seen many of the big attractions already - the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, London Eye, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben and Parliment....and although ROB has tried to KILL me with marathon sized sightseeing treks....he has not succeeded....yet....but there is still Paris....and Brussels.
Okey dokey then...we're going to head back to the hotel now and recuperate for tomorrow's trekking!

Cheers!

to all

yes i will be up there. looks like Candi and i will be leaving Thursday night and driving for a bit before we stop to sleep. have lots to do, need to see if it will be affordable to live there. i did find a place online in Dayton but Michelle is telling me i don't want to live in Dayton. i don't know anything about Dayton. i would like to get together with everyone at some point. i guess we can do the usual and meet at Pete's or something. I'm not sure when but we can figure it out. but if i was to guess, it would be Friday or Saturday night.

Planning for October Weekend of the 18th

Dear All,

I'd like to get a count of those interested in meeting in Cumberland to hang out together in October. We are shooting for the weekend of the 18th--Friday through Sunday. We have been told that it's prime time to see the beauty of the mountains and the leaves in transition.
We could get both the house and the cabin, if need be. The house sleeps about 8-9 comfortably not counting couches, daybeds. The cabin's loft would sleep four, I think. Any response would be appreciated so we can get a reservation in for one or both of the places.
Over & out,
Lola & Ray
