I'm so excited about this weekend!! I know we talked before about trying to eat more meals at the house rather than trying to choose a restaraunt for every meal (expensive and pesky - trying to pick a place that everyone likes, etc.) So..... what should we all bring? I thought about bringing the fixins for Brunswick stew and chili (that way if you don't like one... you can have the other). I also thought I'd bring some snacks (chips, drinks, etc.)
What do you guys think??

back in the day when we would go down there every summer, dad would stop and get every roadkill we passed, that way when we got there, everybody would have someting to throw in the pot!!!
actually, cecil coots never got outta his caddy,he would pull over and say "BOY!",(that was my name then)and i would jump out and dodge the traffic to get the roadkill.and if i forgot to get the good stuff(like liver and gizzards and nuts)i would get my ass beat with an extension cord.sometimes i would get to ride in the trunk with the food(i learned to make sure they was dead).ahh memories!anyway.i know yall cityfolk dont know nuttin bout country cookin,so just ask and i will tell ya how to make it.please just ask...i dare ya.
ok,SOMEONE asked how to make it and didnt want any body to know that they asked so i wont mention names but he is from drexelso here it is.first you take yer left hand and grab the roadkill by the tail, then with yer right hand grab the back legs.now slang that sumbitch up against a tree as hard as ya can.this will knock most of the maggots of the critter and now ya just throw it in the pot.aint that easy?why,i bet half of ya get it right the first time!!!!!
