Amelia Update 2

We've had some visits with Amelia. The first one on October 30 was to go over her service plan there and we got to stay with her for about 2 hours. The visit went well; she was very glad to see us and sad to have us leave. She wasn't disrespectful or any of her usual behaviors. We had our second visit last week and spent our time in the facility game room playing pool and checkers. Again, she was very enjoyable to be with and did better when we left but was still sad. Her phone call this week was very cheerful and positive and she had been off level one--the lowest level--for a bit more than a week. We were supposed to have our first off campus visit Saturday but there was a problem at school, the negative report came home and she is back on level one which means no office campus visit. We aren't even sure that we get one at all. Have to call again in the morning since I didn't get the messages till I got home tonight. She's gotten a letter from Aunt Susan that she seemed very tickled to get. We just hope that when she writes back, she doesn't use any of those texting shortcuts so that Susan will know what she's talking about. Anyhow, we aren't sure about the holiday schedule. She still has to earn her off campus visits and she's no where near getting home or overnight visits yet. Keep praying.
I'm enjoying the posts and the music trivia but I do better with entertainment trivia like what was the name of the first Dracula movie that was a silent film? Blah, blah, blah.
The idea of a contest would be good--I'm think frequent poster would go to Cooterizer. I could be wrong. Anyhow, I will try to post some pics of us and our tiny tribe. I think that we got some good pics when in Kentucky that last time. Very nice trip--again. Susan mentioned wanting us to come down again in January--and I KNOW that all of you are ALL about that!! Eh?
And those of you who are griping about being here--the onliest reason that we all ARE still here is family. We just need somewhere else we can all migrate to. Ray and I vote for southeast Utah. Hands down. Someday.
That's all for now. Talk at ya, later.

I'm not sure if she's received your letter or not, Michelle. The case manager usually tells us if she's gotten a letter from some one who's not on the list. Susan wasn't on the list either and we were advised of it so we could given our permission or not. Our visit with her Saturday was the usual 2 hours & she was sad about not getting to go anywhere. We are hoping that she will be able to be here for Thanksgiving but again, that's all up to her. We will be going to her parent teacher conference tomorrow night.
