Dear Family.
Amelia took off Wednesday p.m. about 3:3o p.m. & we still don't know where she is. There have been various twists and turns, she still is nowhere to be found and not contacting us. No there was no fight, no upheaval....I'd left her here for a short time so I could go to a doctor's appointment. I came back to the house being left open, Gracie in the backyard and her chores left half done. The last person to see and talk to her was her boyfriend of 3 weeks, he initially said he hadn't seen her but fessed up after the police continue to question him. There is a warrant on her now since she has broken her probation. We think that it's very strange--he now says he left her across the street by the cemetery and she was going to her friend, Tiffani's house, yesterday. If she were so near the house she would try to get in for change of clothes or something. Something about all that lie isn't right. So we are up in the air now about Kentucky. Depends on what rolls out this next week, I suppose. Just wanted to let all of you know what was going on.

Have you talked to Tiffani's parents? What did they say? What are the police saying? At one time she had my number. So, If she still does and calls I'll let you know. Hang in there I know Ya'll are worried to death.
The "Tiffani" and Her sister barely know Amelia. They live together down the street. There is another Tiffani in the neighborhood that went to school with her but they haven't spoken for some time and HER parents WOULD NOT let Amelia near their house. The police had contacted Shane and of course, he lied to them saying that he hadn't seen her. He fessed up to a mutual friend of theirs who then called me that they had been together but he walked her back down here and left her since he didn't want to get into trouble. Stupid kids!!
Anyhow, I am calling the law again this morning to see what else can be done. This isn't like her to be gone this long at all. The only other place she would go would be to her friend Shawna and she won't harbor her either. No news is good news I suppose.
Kids are so stupid. Well, when you find her maybe a few days at dorothy tate may just do her some good. I am now doing the tough love thing with Michael so we'll see......In the mean time hang in there.
She was found yesterday with an old boyfriend--not a good guy either. Equally as stupid & have had much trouble with him before. She spent the night in emergency foster care and we are going to meet with the magistrate this morning. There will likely be another meeting this week--hopefully NOT interfering with our trip. Over & out.
well, at least she's ok.
i just read this post this morning.....sorry you had to go through all that and glad she's okay.
having said that, i hope this time the magistrate DOES something other than slap her hand...although i'm not opposed to a good slap upside the head, for starters.
Ray and Lola, So sorry to hear about Amelia and all of this turmoil. That must be so stressful for you guys.
She will be with us this weekend and off house arrest--they are taking the ankle bracelet off Thursday since we will be all cozy. We are looking at that Susan is truly the closest to a grandmother that she has. It's a stretch since she's only seen her a couple of times. She will be surprised at the plan the P.O. has for her. She will NOT like it. Hopefully, the magistrate will go along. I will also be filing a restraining order against the boy. There are all kinds of twists and turns and the kid is the one that urged her to take off in December/January when this all started. Every time she gets obsessed with him something bad happens.
