Hey! So far I know for sure that Ray, Lola, Amelia and Rob and I will be there! Anyone else in? Chance, are you still planning to come up for the day on Saturday? I know you mentioned that earlier. Also, what is the address of this house...We'll mapquest it while getting everything packed and ready tonight.

Well, It looks like Joyce and I won't be going. She got sick Friday and I got it Tuesday. She's about over it and I can't get more than 20 feet from the bathroom or I won't make it when the urge comes. At least I quit puking! Finally ate a little chicken soup, 1st thing I've had to eat since monday.
Susan Golden's address is 1007 College RD. Cumberland, KY
College RD is the last road you pass on 119 before the red light where you turn to go into Cumberland. There is a Shell station on the right at this light.
Ray says the house is about 8 miles past this light, supposed to have some balloons out by the road. I think thats about as close to an address as yor going to get in them parts.
You need to call Ray and Lola before you leave and make plans to meet somewhere in Cumberland because their cell phones don't work in the sticks and yours might not unless its ATT.
That "demon virus" is rough! It sounds AWFUL!!! I hope you feel better soon. Thanks for the heads up on the directions. We will call them to discuss our ETA. I'll take lots of pictures and post them!!! CUMBERLAND or BUST!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. IF YOU STOP TO ASK DIRECTIONS AND THERE IS A KID(THAT LOOKS LIKE MARK) ON THE PORCH PLAYING A BANJO, TAKE OFF FAST, AND LOCK YOUR DOORS.

mark - pete is sending you some pics from previous cumberland trips...should get them soon
The Cumberland trip was very enjoyable. Had a blast spending time with Susan, Brandy & Rob. Amelia behaved well and spent much time watching over Susan. The Pine Mountain Settlement School was elusive--we will find it next time though. Pete spoke with Susan who said she enjoyed the company.
The house we stayed in was quite nice and perfect for a larger crowd. We got quite the history lesson from the Martins, the people who own the property.
We are tentatively scheduling the house for the weekend of October
18th around the prime time that the leaves change. Anybody that's interested, please let us know so we can plan ahead.
