PATRIOT GUARDS
To add to Lola's post........for those of you who don't know: the Patriot Guards are veterans and other motorcycle riders who provide support and guard duty for the families at the funerals of military personnel.
I got this from their website:
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives.
1. Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
2. Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
I found some pics on daytondailynews.com of the Patriot Guards at the Lauterbach funeral. Can't make out Ray but glad to know he was in there!

Non-political News
Dear All,
This is NOT a political announcement in any way, shape or form. Just wanted to say how proud I am of Ray--he has been a member of the Patriot Guard Riders for awhile now but was not able to attend any of their functions due to schedule or location until this past weekend. He was one of the more than one hundred who had attended Maria Lauterbach's funeral on Saturday.
Amelia is doing better in her new school environment. She hasn't been there long but every day is a step in the right direction.
That's the scoop from here. CU all later.

why the name calling? do i call the republicans names? if you cut a democrat, do we not bleed? (i'm paraphrasing shakespeare, just to throw a little literary whomp! in with the political).
i'm not trying to get you down. this country was founded on spirited debates: do we throw the tea overboard OR do we drink it?? one if by land, two if by sea OR two if by land, one if by sea?? stars and stripes OR a pretty flower?? did george REALLY chop down that cherry tree and if so, what could that mean?? will ben franklin convince france to help us or will he just come home with some really good wine?? and who's paying for all that traveling, anyway??
ANY HOO......the ohio primary is march 4th. who to vote for? who to vote for? it's a real knuckle-biter.
i tried your quiz (which looks to be the same as the votematch 2008 one) and i got two candidates with the same percentages and not the two i thought it would be so now i have a THIRD candidate to consider! isn't this fun?!

oh my dear crazy aunt robin,
us republicans may have lost rudy and fred but who cares we still have good old mr. John McCain who is by far more qualified to be president then the half breed and the dyke. lets face it rudy probably didnt have a chance in hell anyway and fred was only there to muster votes and then drop out and pass them on to someone else in the party. funny thing i heard on the radio the other day was a clip of dyke girl giving a speech and said she would take taxes back to where they were before good old george went into office. funny thing is that would require her to raise taxes since bush has lowered taxes. lets see good old bush has been in office for almost 8 years and we havent seen a resession. i know what your going to say " but we are getting ready to be in one". well it aint happened and it probably wont. yet when pimple dick was in office we had one in '99. here is something fun for everyone to do. go to http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/ and go to the political section and do the candidate profile thing. you answer the 20 questions there and then it tells you who best matches what you believe in. i did it and it came up John McCain. it also covers everything they support and believe in. any who im done for now robin and you cant get me down.
