John's viewing and funeral information is:

Visitation is Monday, March 29th from 5-7 pm.

Funeral is Tuesday, March 30th at 10:30 am.


Visitation and funeral is at Newcomers Funeral Home on Kettering Blvd.
Burial is at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

JOHN BROOKS

John passed away a little after 11 pm tonight at Miami Valley hospital. Zola, Michelle and Sunshine were with him.

Johnny and Peg are on their way here, just had a text from Peg and they're in Cincy (at 12 am). I told Peg it was snowing here and had started right about the time John left us. I figured it was John's way of saying GOODBYE to Ohio and the nasty cold weather!

Rest in peace, John. May your eternity be filled with warm and sunny days, green grass that always needs mowing and a plentiful garden!

JOHNNY'S DAD UPDATE

As of today, when I talked with Peg around 2 pm:

John has been moved out of ICU into a semi private room. He has suffered multiple mini strokes and mini heart attacks while in the hospital. He is very, very weak and cannot eat on his own so he has a feeding tube.

The prognosis is not good, he will almost definitely not be coming home from the hospital. It's just a matter of waiting, now.

Peg & Johnny, etc are headed home tonight. Hopefully they will be able to get some rest and return to work for awhile before coming this way again.

Let's keep John and all the Brooks' in our thoughts and prayers.

JOHNNY'S DAD

I wanted to let everyone know Johnny's dad is in the hospital. John has suffered several heart attacks and small strokes according to the doctor. They are making him as comfortable as they can.

Johnny, Peg, Chance and Zach got here tonight and John is coming up soon.

Please keep them all in your prayers and thoughts during this hard time.

Some Sad News to Pass Along....

I just wanted to let everyone know that Pete's longtime neighbors, Gene & Colleen lost their youngest grandson, Matt today. They are not sure of the cause of death. He was 17.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Their other grandson, Gregory, is serving in Afghanistan and hopefully will be able to come home for the funeral.

I (along with help from Pete, Peg and Michelle) am giving Brandy a baby shower on June 26th.

All I know right now is that date and it will be here in Ohio.
