FAMILY FUN DAY 2011

I was thinking about trying to do the Family Fun Day/Get Together again this year on the Sunday before Memorial Day. But that day is either no good or gonna be hard for some people so then I was thinking about the Fourth of July weekend. Ray prefers this weekend so that we can also celebrate his birthday. Any thoughts from anyone..............I'd like to get as many people there as possible. Thinking food, games, family..............sound fun??

OIL (GAS) LEASE INFO

Since i have been unable to locate jed clampetts lawyer, I decided to contact EQT inc. regarding the letters we have received. According to Roger Proffit the letters are just a formallity required by the state. EQT has had a lease with Henry dating back many years prior to 1960. In 1960 the laws changed and required that mineral right owners within a 500 ft. radius of the actual drilling be paid royalties. Roger said that whether or not we sign the papers we will still be paid royalties. They are only required to notify us ( hence, the certified letters). If no one signs or returns the letters then EQT has to have a state hearing and show the lease and the copies of the certified letter receipts that we signed to prove that we were notified. He said, by law, we would receive royalties either way, it just makes it easier for them if they don't have to bother with a state hearing. They are not actually drilling on Henry's tract, but on an adjacent tract, but our tract falls within the 500 ft. radius. He is going to have their legal department send me another copy of the original letter along with contact info should we have any further questions or concerns.
I also instructed Roger to send ALL royalties directly to me and i would disperse them accordingly(minus a small administrative fee). Just kidding!

MERRY (belated) CHRISTMAS!
hope everyone had a good christmas.....some of the coots clan gathered at pete's on christmas eve, mike came in for a visit, talked to mark on the phone, michelle and i went to a lovely candlelight service on christmas eve, visited with ray, lola and baby taylor (who doesn't look anything like a "taylor" so i have renamed her sophie) on christmas and pete, mike, rick and me visited at her house sunday for pizza and talkin'. Good times here, don't know about the rest of ya.

OIL LEASE

In case you are not available on Facebook, here is update on the OIL LEASE...

Per Jim Coots, he has been very busy this past year but is now ready to move on the oil lease. He wants to know if we want to contact his attorney and have him represent/advise us too. He is also asking this of his two brothers and Jane Kirk (JP's wife who is acting for Mabel Kirk). If we all have this attorney act for us, he will probably give us a discount since he will be representing at least 13 people. We need to decide this and give attorney a call within the next week if we are....

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I am thankful for many things but most especially, for my family!

Well I thought long and hard about it and i decided to put up a tree this year. I got the best one I could afford and it took a long time to decorate. I hope my roommates appreciate it.

TEA PARTY SATURDAY!!

We had a tea party today at Strawberries and Daydreams in Miamisburg for Pete, Kim and Kim's girls. It was fun and the food was great.....Regina sure can cook!!
